Our History

Greenberg & Greenberg has provided legal services to Portage la Prairie and surrounding communities for over 75 years. I. H. Greenberg, Q.C. established his law office in 1943 practicing as a sole practitioner until 1966 when the firm name was changed to its current name when his son David joined him in the practice of law. Barry Greenberg became a member in 1975. Currently, the firm consists of five lawyers. John Jones joined the firm in 2011 and our MacGregor office was then established with Mr. Jones serving that community weekly on Tuesdays. Kassy Baker joined the firm in 2018 and Alex Homenko in 2021. The firm offers a wide range of legal services.

We are committed to the support of organizations and initiatives in our community including:

For 49 years an annual scholarship award has been presented to the recipient of the Governor-General Award for academic excellence at Portage Collegiate Institute in memory of the founder of our firm I. H . Greenberg Q.C
